24 Hours of Le Man Live Stream With Racing Legend John McGuiness

Onboard with John McGuinness, winner of the Superbike TT and Senior TT in 2011 with his 1000cc Honda TT Legends bike. The footage here is from Ballaugh Bridge to Parliament Square, and that stretch of road includes the fastest part of the course, Sulby straight, where the bikes hit the 200 mph mark.

As you surely know if you love motorcycle racing, John McGuinness has 19 victories in the Tourist Trophy. On the 8th and 9th of September, the legendary speed freak takes on not be the Isle of Man but Le Mans to race the 24 Hours for the second time.

“I did not hesitate for a second when I was invited to race in the World Championship FIM Endurance two years ago,” McGuinness said recently. “I am 40 years old this year, so this is a good opportunity for me to diversify my career. The riding style suits me perfectly and the results are already good, as we are able to win the title this year”.

So what skills will it take for the legendary rider to perform during the 24 Hours of Le Man?

“In both cases, you have to know how to keep behind the leaders, do not give 100%. However, the consequences are less serious when you fall on a track rather than on the road. These are two ‘old’ disciplines with riders who are accessible to the public,” McGuinness said. “There is a real popular enthusiasm at Le Mans as on the roadsides of the Isle of Man.”
