Antique Motorcycle Racing Video
You missed it.
But mark your calendar for next Labor Day weekend, and you’ll get to see the coolest antique motorcycle racing action on the planet.
Until then, you’ll just have to make due watching these highlights of the 2011 Chief Blackhawk chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America (AMCA) motorcycle motorcycle races in Davenport, Iowa.
If you’re into antique motorcycles that do more than sit on a trailer or a pedestal in a museum, this is surely the greatest show on earth. There aren’t a lot of places where you can watch 80- to 100-year-old motorcycles tearing it up on the race track. If you’re a fan of vintage machinery or motorcycles in general, you should check this event out.
The guys at JP Cycles caught up with the American Pickers Frank and Mike and talked to their own John Parham during the event at Davenport Speedway, and they all help give you a little taste of what motorcycle racing was like back in the 1920s.
